I believe this is a character driven story as the central idea of the story revovles around the actions made by the character which in this case is Jay Chia Shao Kiat who was caught drug traficking. The reason this new article appeared on the newspaper was not mainly because he was caught drug traficking, it was because he managed to escape from jail. I dont think that its a commonn sight to see a person escape from jail. Thus i infer that this article is a character driven story which arouses from the action of the main character in this case is he escaping from jail. Without this factor invovled this news might not have breaked the news.

I think the senior police officers should had actually placed more officers in charge of the this criminals as there were three of them. If the three of them escaped at the same time running of in different directions the consequences will be dire as at least one of them will get away. Furthermore, this people are charge on a offence which requires the mandatory death sentence. Thus, they are more prone to running away as in the end they still die.
